Confusing and missing options

The app is confusing and some options are broken.

The best timeline of civilizations

Perfect! Incredibly!

Mixed Impression

In fact I welcome the approach to introduce an historical Atlas to iOS - there are already some nice Apps on alternative OS and I miss them here. But: beside a given nice design it is not trully sufficient to outsource all knowledge to wiki links...

Not worth the money

Strange interface, repeated crashes.

Very nice Geo History App

Well done implementation fusing time and geo information together. An approach which should be further developed to bring more detail data into the content and use it in schools.

Terrific Timeline

Great interface. Beautiful graphics. Simple to use. Complete and Informative Resource. A portion of the price goes to support Wikipedia. Thanks to the developer for their wonderful work.

Incomplete and inaccurate

Great interface great potential. Poor marks for accuracy. New France was part of British North America after 1763. This app has it existing until 1800. There are many more examples. Current names and boundaries: Zaire - why not democratic republic of Congo. Where is South Sudan? Why is Northern Ireland present in the 1700s? It didnt exist until the 1920s. Israel was independent in 1947/48 - before that it was called Palestine. Napoleon took over most of Europe in the very early 1800s - why is that not noted? Educational apps need to be accurate otherwise there is no point.

This map is bubbish

Incorrect information not worth to but. Whoever develop this up is Moran probably from US and he not nothing about history except invite others country us brain wash idiot

Needs lots more research

Great idea and great potential, but I agree with other reviews in that it needs more research. One example, it shows Mexico still being Spain after 1821 and until 1880. And it was not Spain but the New Spain as it was called

Incorrect!!!

Not for educational purposes! Ever heard of Illyria???

Good

Good educational tool. I would like to recommend all people interested in world history. This app provide good entry point. Easy to access to every countries at any ages with plenty information from wiki.

notation

1920-1937 The name-of-a-country notation and a color of Japan are wrong.

So What?

Not much here that you cant get on the Internet. Difficult to click on links. Basic at best.

Things are looking better and better

Really like the new UI, and appreciate that you incorporated our feedback and added a tutorial. Please continue to innovate!

Love it

I just downloaded your atlas - it is phenomenal! Great ideas, great maps. The pictures for the most part are in an unexpected very low resolution, most of them also stretched over the whole screen, making them unusable. I think they should be either uploaded in HD or have links to the HD version when you click on them. I love it, good job.

Bad

This app has alot of information wrong

Good but bad

It really cool but it has information wrong and that really hurts the app

Exceptional app!

Finally the app that I had desire all this time was developed. I teach history, philosophy, and religious studies courses and this app will serve me formidably in the classroom. I am looking forward to see the development of still greater potential within this app. Thank you for developing this great app and for such an affordable price.

A great new way to learn history

Love the quick access to anytime, anywhere. The first time I can say a product really let me see the grand sweep of history. No other atlas comes close in this regard. And I love how each release contains more goodies! Please continue to add stuff, I look forward greatly to using it in the classroom.

Pretty but useless

The globe and timeline functions of this app are very pretty and might be useful for helping students visualize historical changes on a geographic scale. Beyond that there is little to recommend this app. The facts are mere trivia and major events are ignored. The bread riots in France pop up, but no mention is made of the French Revolution. The size of Germany varies significantly between 1932 and 1944 with no explanation. When the timeline is set to 1860, the only pop-up that appears tells us Barack Obama was elected president in 2008. There was a presidential election in 1860, some guy named Lincoln was elected. This election was of more profound historical significance than the opening of the first chocolate factory in Germany. Guess which one made the cut? Without significant updates to the database, including corrections to errors, it is not worth the money!
